To enhance public safety and emergency response efficiency, the Village of Roaming Shores is reminding all residents of the requirement to post house numbers at their property. Roaming Shores Village Code §1355 requires that each building prominently display house numbers that are at least 3 inches tall and clearly visible from the street. Lakefront property owners are also required to have their house number posted on their dock.

 

By ensuring that house numbers are easily readable, residents contribute to the overall safety and well-being of their community. Quick and accurate identification of addresses enables emergency responders to reach the intended destination promptly, saving critical minutes in emergency situations.

 

To assist residents in complying with the house number requirement, the Village is offering custom address number signs for sale at a cost of $15.00 per sign. These address signs are reflective and meet the size specifications outlined in the regulations. They are a convenient solution for residents who may need to update or install new house numbers.
